In May of 2010, AirLink Internet Service was formed to provide high-speed internet service to the rural areas of Mounds, OK in southern Creek County. We approached the City of Sapulpa and asked if we could lease space on top of their 2 water tanks. Sapulpa was very supportive and asked if we could serve residents of their city as well. With a water tank lease and the purchase of a small 48-foot tower which we installed near Mounds, OK, AirLink Internet was born, and we ended 2010 with 27 customers.
Today we cover 7 counties in North East Oklahoma and provide internet service from 10Mb to 30Mb in most locations.
We are a local business, with local owners and employees that live within our service area. We answer the phones 10-hours a day Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. We are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Service requests can always be opened 24/7 online at: http://airlinkinternet.net/support.php.
When you contact AirLink by phone or email, you will always be provided with a high level of customer service. We know that our business depends on our customers and in many cases our customers are our neighbors.
Mike began his career in the semiconductor industry programming “chips” with Boolean Algebra. This work led to a deep understanding of integrated circuits and a 15-year career as a sales engineer and sales manager covering the greater Los Angeles area.
After a very successful Silicon Valley career, Mike and his family decided to leave the hustle and bustle of city life and move to a quieter part of the country. They settled just outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the surrounding area, Native American tribes were building casinos at an explosive rate and International Game Technology (IGT), the world’s largest slot machine manufacturer and gaming systems provider, offered Mike a position as a Systems Engineer and they spent the next 10 years together.
In Oklahoma and across the country, technology was booming and people were in need of internet services. However, Oklahoma had very little infrastructure. Most rural Oklahomans, including Mike, did not have access to the internet. In 2010, Mike created a solution for himself and his community by founding AirLink Internet Services. He currently serves as its CEO.
In 2014, Mike founded FiberLink to provide 1Gb fiber-to-the-home internet service in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He currently serves as its CEO.
